Bill Schrader

Chief Operating Officer

Bill Schrader joined TNK-BP in October 2009.

He began his career with BP in 1980 as a chemical engineer, working in operations, business development and marketing for BP’s petrochemical business in the US and UK. In 1991, he became Production Manager at BP’s Ferndale Refinery in Washington State, US.

In 1994 Bill became General Manager for BP’s Marine Fuels business. In 1996 he moved to BP’s Upstream division and was appointed leader of the Forties field in the UK North Sea.

After the Amoco and ARCO acquisitions, Bill ran BP’s upstream businesses in Indonesia and served as Associate Country President.

In 2004 he was appointed CEO of BP Angola. In 2006 he became President of BP Azerbaijan, based in Baku.

Bill Schrader is a US citizen and holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati where he studied from 1975 to 1980. He earned his MBA degree at the University of Houston in 1984.
