Moody’s has today confirmed the Ba3 senior unsecured debt and foreign currency issuer ratings of JSC Tyumen Oil Company ("TNK") and the Ba2 senior implied rating of TNK International, the guarantor of TNKapos;s rated debt, which had been under review for possible downgrade following the companyapos;s successful bid for a 50% stake in Slavneft. The rating outlooks for the companies are positive.
As of November 3, on an accrual basis, TNK-Nyagan OJSC actually lifted 29,719 tons of oil versus targeted 23,452 tons from the start of this month. Targets were over-fulfilled by 6,267 tons.
BP reiterated Wednesday that it remained confident about prospects for its $6.8-bil Russian oil venture with TNK despite the legal and politic crisis surrounding Russian oil major Yukos.
