Slavneft Assets To Be Included In TNK-BP Deal
- Assets belonging to Russian oil company Slavneft, owned by Tyumen Oil Company. Will be included in a deal for the sale to British Petroleum of 50% of TNK shares, TNK CEO Victor Vekselberg told Interfax in London.

- Russia and Britain strengthened their energy ties and attempted to put divisions over Iraq behind them as Russian President Vladimir Putin ended an elaborate state visit to the U.K. At an energy conference Thursday attended by Mr. Putin and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, the two countries' energy ministers signed a political memorandum on cooperation, agreeing to clear the way for construction of a $7 billion gas pipeline from Russia to continental Europe and the U.K.

BP, TNK Sign Final, Adjusted Merger Accord
- BP and the backers behind Russia's Tyumen Oil Co. Thursday signed a historic merger agreement worth more than $6 billion to create TNK-BP, which will be the third biggest Russian oil company and the 10th largest oil company in the world. John Browne, BP's Chief Executive, and Russian oil executive Mikhail Fridman - who with his associates agreed to sell half of their stake in TNK to BP - signed the agreement Thursday finalizing the commercial terms of the creation of TNK-BP.

Alfa Group, ACCESS/Renova Sign Merger Agreement With BP
- Alfa Group and Access/Renova (AAR), shareholders of Tyumen Oil Company, signed an agreement with British Petroleum in London on Thursday in the presence of President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Tony Blair on the formation of TNK-BP. This is the biggest investment project Russia has ever seen, TNK Chairman Mikhail Fridman said.
