There are a number of trade union organizations that operate at TNK-BP’s subsidiaries. The majority of these organizations are part of the Oil and Gas Construction Trade Union of the RF. They provide valuable input on matters of labor conditions, remuneration, and provision of social benefits.
TNK-BP has set up a Corporate Coordination Council, which brings together on an equal basis representatives of TNK-BP’s management, chairmen of united regional trade union committees, and chairmen of trade union committees of company subsidiaries. Regional coordination councils operate in the regions and include TNK-BP branch directors, enterprise managers and representatives of trade unions of company subsidiaries. Regional coordination councils consider social and labor issues that require joint discussion to formulate company policy on these matters.
To minimize the risk of regional and local labor conflicts, TNK-BP has developed a new standard Collective Agreement for company subsidiaries. This agreement ensures equal rights of both parties and takes into account recent changes in legislation, standards and company policy.
All these measures have allowed us to build long-term relationships with trade union organizations based on principles of social partnership and ensure the company maintains an ongoing constructive dialogue with its employees.
L.A. Mironov, Chairman of the Oil and Gas Construction Trade Union of the RF
