Kaluganefteprodukt became part of TNK in 1995, and since 2003 has been a retail subsidiary of TNK-BP.
Kaluganefteprodukt is a retail company with four oil depots (Balabanovskaya, Kaluzhskaya, Lyudinovksya, and Myatlevskaya) supplying fuel to Kaluga, Moscow, Smolensk and Bryansk Regions, 31 service stations and 25 shops.
The company is supplied with high-quality AI 95, AI 92, AI 80 gasoline and diesel fuel from the Ryazan, Orsk, Nizhnevartovsk and Saratov refineries.
In 2007—2008, Kaluganefteprodukt upgraded 20 of its service stations to new standards, and built one new station.
Sales volumes in 2008 were 338,700 tons of fuel, including 36,100 tons of A95 gasoline, 100,000 tons of A92, 41,700 tons of A80, and 160,500 tons of diesel.
In addition to selling high-quality fuels Kaluganefteprodukt’s service stations offer a wide range of other services: the stations feature mini—cafes and shops; tyre pressure can be checked and car salons cleaned free of charge; and inside the shops there are terminals for mobile phone payments and cash machines.
Since 2004, TNK’s service stations in Kaluga and Kaluga Region started to accept electronic plastic cards.
Kaluganeftprodukt has a laboratory which is accredited with the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology. This checks the quality of all fuel arriving at its oil depots and performs analyses for third parties. Gasoline is analyzed on 12 parameters, and diesel on 21. Quality passports and certificates of compliance are issued for all fuel sold to wholesale buyers. A mobile laboratory carries out quality control on fuels sold at Kaluganefteprodukt service stations on a daily basis.
