Nizhnevartovskoe Neftegazodobivajusee Predprijatie

Nizhnevartovskoe Neftegazodobivajusee Predprijatie (NNP) is developing 10 fields: Permyakovskoe, Khokhryakovskoe, Koshilskoe, Kolik-Yoganskoe,  Ershovoe, Sorominskoe, Tul-Yoganskoe, Sabunskoe, Severo-Tarkhovskoe and Enitorskoe. NNP is also the exploration and development operator for three licence blocks belonging to TNK-BP Tekhnologii – Malo-Siktorskoe, Vostochno-Kolik-Yoganskoe and the Ermakovskaya group of fields (Orekhovo-Ermakovskoe, Chekhloneiskoe, Zapadno-Ermakovskoe and Khokhlovskoe), the licenses to which are held by Tyumenneftegaz. NNP currently comprises three amalgamated oil production areas, an operations support base and an engineering research and operations centre.

The company was formed in 1964 at the same time as the discovery of Samotlor – the largest field in the USSR – and the creation of the Megionneft Oil Production Directorate. In 1971, this was transformed into the Nizhnevartovskneft Oil and Gas Production Directorate named after V.I.Lenin, which was succeeded in 1990 by the Nizhnevartovskoe Neftegazodobyvayuschee Predpriyatie.

Since the day of its creation NNP has been a stable and successfully developing company, whose priorities include increasing production, improving oil production technology and applying innovative operational techniques.

In 2008 NNP produced its 100 millionth ton of oil.

The production figures for 2008 were 5.847 million tons of oil and 361 mmcm of gas. To achieve this result the company pursued an active well interventions program throughout the year, reaching a total of 425 interventions by year-end. Development drilling and hydrofrac operations were highly effective: 27 new wells commissioned at NNP’s fields gave a production increment of 179,000 ton of oil; and the 186 completed hydrofrac operations added a further 251,000 ton.

In addition, NNP continued working to reduce its idle well stock during 2008. Interventions were performed on 13 idle production wells and 28 injection wells. In the course of the year the company renovated over 99 km of pipelines and remediated over 20 hectares of contaminated land.

NNP continues to develop its oilfield infrastructure. Ten industrial facilities and social amenities were built and commissioned, equipment was installed, and building work began on new power supply facilities.

The general director is Rustem Ilgizovich Bakirov.
