Promkataliz

Promkataliz is a subsidiary of Ryazan Oil Refinery Company.

The enterprise produces world class catalysts and adsorbents for the needs of oil refining, petrochemical and chemical industry as well as food and medical companies. Around 90% of the produced volumes are sold in Russia, 8% in the territory of other CIS countries, and 2% are exported to non-CIS countries.

Catalyst production exists in Ryazan since 1964 when a shop was organized within Ryazan Oil Refinery to produce alumina-cobalt-molybdenum hydrotreatment catalyst. Further on, this subdivision developed both in terms of total capacity and nomenclature of catalysts and adsorbents. A new train was launched in 1969 to produce supporters and adsorbents as well as reforming and hydrogenation catalysts. In 1999, Ryazan Oil Refinery catalyst production was singled out as a standalone legal entity.

In addition to catalyst and adsorbent production, the enterprise provides a complete range of services to catalyst users: pre-contract plant surveys; catalyst system type selection taking into account plant design specificities and processed feedstock quality; commissioning engineering; catalyst operation monitoring; catalyst condition analysis upon reduction and further operation forecasting; deactivated catalyst processing.
