TNK-Nyagan

TNK-Nyagan produces oil from fields in the Krasnoleninsk arch (Khanti—Mansiysk Autonomous District). The company was established in 1982: it was known as Krasnoleninskneftegaz until 1994 and as Kondpetroleum until 1999.

TNK-Nyagan owns the development licences for the Krasnoleninsk arch, comprising the Talinskaya section (under development since 1981), the Em-Egovskaya section (under development since 1980) and the western part of Kammenaya section (under development since 1992).

In 2007—2008, the company acquired four licence blocks in the Timan-Pechora petroleum province: Vostochno-Vorgamusyursky (Nenets Autonomous District), Berganty-Mylsky (Nenets AD), Rogovskoy (Nenetsk AD) and Block No.2 of the Chernyshev Ridge and Khoreyver Basin (Komi Republic).

In 2008, TNK-Nyagan produced 5.9 million tons of oil and sold 836 million cubic metres of associated gas. It currently has 2,849 active wells. Last year, TNK-Nyagan drilled 107 wells and performed 465 well interventions.

TNK-Nyagan has international certification for its safety management (OHSAS 18001), quality management (ISO 9001) and environmental management (ISO 14001) systems. In addition, in May 2006 its quality management system was declared compliant with ISO/TU 29001:2003, which contains the additional requirements of ISO 9001:2000 specially developed for the oil, petrochemical and gas industries.

TNK-Nyagan works hard to protect the life and health of its staff, its environmental protection activities comply with state regulations and its licence obligations, and it strives to minimize its impact on the natural environment.
