Yugraneft

Yugraneft Corporation is an oil production subsidiary of the TNK-BP Group that became part of the company in 2003. It owns a licence to produce oil and gas at the Malochernogorskoye licence block until 2038 (Khanti—Mansiysk Autonomous District).

Over the past few years production has been around 600 mtpa of oil. Since the start of the field development, Malochernogorskoye yielded over 15 million tons of crude. It has been possible to maintain production levels thanks to a well intervention program designed to improve the efficiency of the well stock and achieve a higher recovery rate. The most successful projects have involved hydro fracturing and commingling techniques.

As the field facilities are already in place, capital investment is relatively low and is proceeding according to schedule. Yugraneft Corporation’s licence compliance risks are minimal, as production levels match the project documents, gas utilization and idle well numbers are in line with licence agreements, and there is no oil—contaminated land.

One of the company’s priority activities is environmental protection. It is focused on oil spill prevention measures, such as renovation, diagnostics and inhibition work on field pipelines.
