TNK

The TNK retail network in Russia and Ukraine consists of 1,298 retail sites. 708 of these sites are company-owned and company-managed; the remaining 590 are jobber sites. Jobbers are independent retail companies that are supplied with our fuel, carry our brand and agree to observe our standards. Through jobbers the company extends its presence to regions where it chooses not to invest its own capital. Ongoing quality control ensures that the quality of fuel marketed by TNK jobbers complies with the company’s standards.

In 2006 the company launched a campaign to redesign the TNK brand and develop a new TNK brand offer.

The new TNK brand stands for quality, professionalism and reliability, and a positive and friendly approach. These features are reflected in the new look of the TNK brand, with a fresh orange color added to the TNK blue color scheme.

The concrete and tangible advantage behind the emotional component of the new TNK brand is the consistent quality of products and services. The TNK brand primarily serves drivers who spend a lot of time on the road. These frequent stoppers need to be recharged physically and emotionally as well as be sure they are getting high quality fuel and accurate fueling. TNK offers them an essential package of goods and services to help them recover from the road and get an energy boost.

As part of the re-imaging campaign, new services have been introduced at TNK retail stations, such as fueling attendance, vacuum cleaner, WC, tire inflation, and water. Convenience stores called TNK Express are being set up at the majority of re-imaged TNK stations, offering major “on the go” categories including a variety of snacks, cold/hot drinks, non-food items, and car care products. Payments by cash or major credit cards are accepted. TNK Express convenience stores are equipped with ATM and cellular payment terminals.

New TNK Pulsar fuel with octane number 95 sales started on October 1st in Moscow and Moscow region. TNK Pulsar complies with Euro-4 environmental requirements and well exceeds the relevant Russian technical standard (GOST R 51866).  Gasoline engines using TNK Pulsar experience 34 times less inlet valve deposits, 11% less carburetor fouling and 2.4 times more prevention of corrosive activity as compared to ordinary gasoline A95 used in Moscow. TNK Pulsar has much greater cleaning power than normal fuels. It not only prevents the formation of 90% of engine deposits but also removes 60% of existing deposits over time. More information on TNK Pulsar is available at http://tnkpulsar.ru.

Fuel quality is an essential component of the re-imaging campaign. That is why we are expanding our quality control program. The company has started employing a number of mobile express labs that randomly test the quality of fuel and fueling accuracy at TNK sites, providing benchmarks on performance and compliance with environmental standards.

The new TNK brand is being introduced in eleven regions of company operations — Moscow, Ryazan, Tula, Kaluga, Karelia, Kursk, Rostov-on-Don, Saratov, St. Petersburg, Nizhnevartovsk and Kiev in Ukraine. By 2009, 380 sites have been renovated, getting the new look and feel, and the new operating standards.

We welcome your feedback. We have established a dedicated hotline to collect your questions and comments about the quality of fuels and services at TNK sites.

Please call the TNK hotline 8-800-200-73-73 or send email to hotline@tnk.ru.

All calls and messages will be transferred to the appropriate division in the company.
