TNK-BP Maintains Net Income at $5 bn Despite Changing Environment; Reports Record Production in 2009
TNK-BP today reported its results for the fourth quarter and twelve months ended 31 December 2009. Commenting on the results, Mikhail Fridman, interim Chief Executive Officer of TNK-BP, said: “2009 was an important year for TNK-BP. Undeterred by market volatility, the company successfully maintained its growth strategy and continued to deliver on the four promises it made at the start of the joint venture relating to production growth, technology transfer, corporate governance and social responsibility...”

TNK-BP Releases Data from the 2009 International Reserve Audit

TNK-BP today released the results of the independent audit of its reserves as at the end of 2009. This represents the seventh annual external audit of the company’s reserves since its creation in August 2003.

TNK-BP Advocates Flexible Approach to APG Utilization for Greenfields

TNK-BP finds it expedient to make associated petroleum gas (APG) utilization requirements more flexible for greenfields. German Khan, TNK-BP Executive Director, said to the media that greenfield subsurface specificities and development conditions frequently make greenfield APG utilization uneconomic.

Pipe is Calling

Deputy Prime Minister Sechin took part in the ceremony of inauguration of the first joint on Purpe – Samotlor pipeline near Nizhnevartovsk yesterday. He cut a red ribbon symbolizing the start of construction together with Nikolai Tokarev, Transneft President. Immediately after the first joint had been welded, the guests handed named watches to welders and left commemorative signatures on the ‘pipe’.
