TNK-Uvat Acquired Four Oil-Bearing Land Plots in the South of the Tyumen Region at a Tender
TNK-Uvat, a subsidiary of TNK-BP, acquired at a tender on Thursday four oil-bearing land plots areas in the south of the Tyumen Region for 632 million rubles: the Gerasimovsky, West Gerasimovsky, East Gerasimovsky, and Katyssky land plots.
The highest bid of 216 million rubles was offered for the East Gerasimovsky land plot, whose reserves are estimated by experts at 21 million tons of oil, informs ITAR-TASS.
According to Rishat Khasanov, General Director of TNK-Uvat, the acquired land plots “fall into the zone of interests of the company, which works in the Uvat District for a long time now.”
The Uvat project embraces 7 license areas comprising 8 fields and 29 promising geological structures with recoverable reserves of 60 million tons of oil and prospective resources of 200 million tons of oil. The project implies construction of 300 km of pipelines, more that 500 km of roads, and 200 km of power transmission lines in the Uvat District. Nowadays, TNK-BP is very active in this region. In the beginning of this year, Sibneft won the tender for the development of the Zimneye field.
The previous tender for the right of using the Nelym subsoil plot in the south of the Tyumen Region was held on September 22 and won by Surgutneftegaz.
