Lisichansk outperforms other towns of the Lugansk Region with similar industrial potential in terms of industrial production growth rate, with LINOS LLC making the greatest contribution to industrial production growth. Air emissions dropped by 15,800 tons, waste water discharge decreased by 5.62 million cm in Lisichansk in 2003 y-o-y. This resulted from commissioning of the technological condensate treatment plant at LINOS LLC and from shifting of boiler rooms based in Privolie and Novodruzhesk (satellite towns) to gas as well as from a series of other events envisaged in the municipal environment protection program.
