Who Wants to Become a Ph. D at Cambridge?
TNK-BP and Cambridge Foreign Forum announced the beginning of a scholarship program, TNK-BP Kapitza Cambridge, that enables Russian and Ukrainian nationals to perform R&D at Cambridge University and to get Ph.D. in Engineering, Economics, Management, Law, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences. Eight scholarships of £21,000 will be awarded to nationals of these countries on an annual basis; the course may last no more than three years. The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, and an economic class tickets. Eligible persons will have a master diploma (or its equivalent) with honors from a prestigious high school and master English at a level required by Cambridge University. To be admitted, one should send an application under the special form to the Post Graduate Department of the University. Each candidate should decide in what school he or she is willing to perform R&D and also to present an explanation of why his or her studies are important for development of his or native country. The program is intended for 5 years (from October 2004).
