TNK-BP to Start Northern Deposit Development from Tyumen
The articles are devoted to results of a Tyumen visit of the BP''s and TNK-BP''s delegation, which included a meeting with the Tyumen Region Governor Sergey Sobianin on strategic partnership. In particular, the parties discussed the possibility of the TNK-BP''s profit generation center registration in the region. The company is going to build up a personnel, deposit, and technical support development strategy in Tyumen. In the near future, TNK-BP is going to invest US$ 2 million into Tyumen, which will enable to embark on aggressive development of the group of Uvat deposits, and the regional budget will get considerable additional receipts. "We have destinations where to transport and persons to whom to sell; our main objective is to extract what will be sold," Mr. Sobianin pointed out when speaking to guests. TNK-BP''s representatives also informed the governor of their intentions to expend operations in the gas industry and also to enlarge TNK-BP''s technological center set up in Tyumen. Summing up the meeting''s outcome the governor noted that TNK-BP''s establishment became a landmark event both in the Russian economy and in the region''s life. I hope, Mr. Sergey Sobianin said, Tyumen will become a second home for the company where many new projects will appear and will work."
