Tyumenneftegaz OJSC Outperforms Its March Targets
Reports on Tyumenneftegaz OJSC performance in March and 1Q 2004. The total of 176,805 tons of crude oil was lifted in deposits of the Tyumen Region in March, and 513,524 tons from the start of the year. At 81,550 tons, crude output plan was outperformed by 6,079 tons in the deposits of the south of the region in March. Output grew by 4,650 tons y-o-y. 226,672 tons of oil, versus 218,239 tons in 1Q 2003, have been extracted from the start of the year in the south of the region. Increasing output was achieved through efforts aimed at enhancing yield of seams – hydraulic fracturing of formation, bottom-hole treatment. Extra output achieved through geological and technical measures carried out in March came to 2,438.5 tons, or 16,504 tons from the start of the year. Drilling amounted to 6,690 meters in the south of the region in 1Q 2004, versus planned 4,800 meters, including exploratory drilling of 5,726 meters, of which 1,486 meters were drilled in March, and 964 meters of operating wells. In 2004, Tyumenneftegaz OJSC plans to extract 1,015,000 tons of oil in the Kalchino field. To secure extraction of the planed volume 18,000 meters of rock will be drilled; 6 new producing wells with the average yield of 46.2 tons a day will be put on stream; 5 wells will be conversed into the delivery well stock. The program of geological and technical measures envisages that hydraulic fracturing of formation will be held at 30 old stocks, which will enable to additionally extract 135,073 tons in the following months; the plan is to additionally lift 13,217 tons and 28,999 tons by performing bottom-hole treatment and well optimization, respectively; 3,344 tons will be obtained by performing 4 repairs and insulation operations with hydraulic fracturing of formation.
