Paul McCartney Gives a Concert in St. Petersburg on June 20

Sir Paul McCartney gave the only concert in St. Petersburg, in Palace Square, on June 20, as part of his new European 04 Summer Tour. The concert program of Paul McCartney features The Beatles and Wings compositions as well as compositions from the singer's solo repertoire. TNK-BP acted as the principal sponsor of Paul McCartney's concert in St. Petersburg.
The St. Petersburg concert of Paul McCartney was his 3000th show and surpassed the concert held in Red Square in Moscow in May 2003 by its parameters. The musician presented a unique show in Palace Square, a scenario of which has been specially written for the single performance in St. Petersburg.
"TNK-BP is involved not only in oil production, and we are going to make a significant contribution to development of social and cultural links between Russia and Great Britain," TNK-BP's Vice President Peter Hanshow informed. "Paul McCartney is one of the most popular and respected musicians for Russians, and his St. Petersburg performance will become a landmark event in the cultural life of this country."
