Yury Gryzunov Becomes Orenburgneft''s New General Manager

The Board of Directors of Orenburgneft OJSC has replaced the company''s General Manager Mikhail Ossipov with Mr. Yury Gryzunov, the company''s official release goes. Mr. Ossipov was promoted to Head of TNK-BP East business unit that comprises Nizhnevartovsk Oil and Gas Extracting Enterprise and Varieganneftegaz OJSC (Nizhnevartovsk), informed the News Service of TNK-BP that owns Orenburgneft. Before his new appointment, Mr. Gryzunov headed Buzuluk South, TNK-BP''s business unit. As reported earlier, four business units, Buzuluk Center, Buzuluk North, Buzuluk South, and Buzuluk Gas are being created on the basis of the assets of Orenburgneft OJSC and Orenburggeologiya OJSC. The first three units will comprise oil-extracting enterprises of the central, northern, and southern parts of the region, whereas Buzuluk Gas will be in charge of gas processing, storage, and transportation. TNK-BP owns two oil-extracting enterprises in the Orenburg Region, Orenburgneft OJSC and Orenburggeologiya OJSC, as well as two refineries, Orsknefteorgsintez OJSC and Neftemaslozavod OJSC. Orenburgneft OJSC and Orenburggeologiya OJSC intend to push up crude oil output, including gas condensate, by 14.2%, to 14.85 million tons, in 2004 versus 2003. Orenburgneft is expected to extract 13.5 million tons of oil and condensate, and Orenburggeologiya (operated by Orenburgneft''s management team), 1.35 million tons. Last year, the aggregate output of the two enterprises exceeded 13 million tons, or a 28% increase on 2002.
