TNK-BP to Include Costs of Excessive Procurement of Overalls, Footwear, and Individual Protective Devices to Its Personnel into the Product Cost
TNK-BP is going to include the costs of excessive procurement of overalls, footwear, and individual protective devices (IPD) to its personnel into the product cost, informed Mr. Vadim Pimenov, General Manager of CAC - Municipal Appraisal Center (St. Petersburg, CAC – MAC) that participates in substantiation of this resolution. Inclusion of overalls into the tariff is subject to obtaining permissions from the Health and Social Development Ministry and the Federal Tax Service, MAC''s News Service informed with reference to Mr. Pimenov on June 21. In coordination of its tariff policy with authorities, TNK-BP will make use of information received from CAC – MAC during attestation of workstations at Udmurtneft OJSC. CAC – MAC won the tender for holding the final stage (till 2005) of workstation (WS) attestation at Udmurtneft facilities last week. Experts were asked to indicate the reasons why the enterprise does not fit in national and industrial standards by the scope of handed over IPD in their final report. Udmurtneft spends some RUR 250,000 on additional outfit of its personnel a year, or 4.5% of the entire amount spent on purchase of overalls and IPD. According to Mr. Pimenov, TNK-BP''s employees themselves are paying for additional (in excess of national standards) outfit, and its cost is taken into account in income tax calculation. The company has developed the Requirements to Corporate Individual Protective Devices for the Company''s Employees standard. At present, all of the company''s business units are getting acquainted with new production standards. The previous stage of attestation (approx. 450 workstations) has also been performed by CAC – MAC, in 2003/2004. At the final stage, experts are going to estimate the occupational safety degree for 524 workstations in the company''s core fields and to propose risk-reduction options.
