TNK''s Oils: "Tasting" at Volga Motor Works
TNK is developing cooperation with AvtoVAZ in testing of engine and transmission oils manufactured by TNK. For instance, TNK SUPER OIL semi-synthetic engine oil (SAE10W-40) has passed repeated engine benchmark tests at the Volga Motor Works and obtained a permission, in accordance to which the period of oil replacement at new VAZ cars is equal to 15,000 km. Results of testing at AvtoVAZ works suggested that TNK SUPER OIL significantly surpasses technical requirements made by the works. In addition, TNK SUPER OIL has high anti-foam and detergent properties. Another type of oil produced by TNK, TRANS OIL transmission oil (SAE 80W-85), has been tailored for front-drive models together with AvtoVAZ OJSC. It is TNK TRANS OIL that serves as the oil for initial (conveyor) filling into VAZ cars. It is noteworthy that TNK SUPER OIL semi-synthetic engine oil and TNK TRANS OIL transmission oil were included into the rating of Russia''s 100 Best Products.
