TNK-BP''s Resources at KMAA and YNAA to Become Known in December
Tyumen Petroleum Scientific Center CJSC, a subsidiary of TNK-BP Management OJSC, is proceeding to drawing up draft feasibility studies of TNK-BP''s resource further development lines in the Khanty Mansiisk and the Yamal Nenets autonomous areas. The total cost of work to be finalized by December 2004 is estimated at RUR 10.7 million. The urgency of such work is due to increased depletion of explored hydrocarbon reserves on the company''s licensed blocks. Additional studies and results summary will help detect prospective deep-seated oil deposits on already developed blocks and put them on-stream. TPSC announced a tender for selection of geological companies to cooperate with. When tender results are summed up, companies having in place seismic data on the said territories will be preferred. In particular, as concerns KMAA, a company must have a digital database of seismic information on the Krasnoleninsk Vault and adjacent territories as well as TNK-BP''s licensed blocks in the east of the Area. The Russkoye field and adjacent territories are of interest in YNAA.
