Capital Expenditures Boost Daily Crude Oil Output
Capital investments into field development boosted daily output in the Ponomariov field of Buguruslanneft NGDU by almost 1,000 tons, to 4,000 tons, which is equal to total output in Buguruslanneft NGDU in 2000, before TNK came to the Orenburg Region. Significant output growth was fueled by TNK-BP''s capital spending on the Rodniki, Vrezov, and other new field development. According to Mr. Yury Kostyliov, Head of the Ponomariov oil field, new wells are drilled, fields are improved, seams are flooded, and dozens of geological and technical measures have been taken in the fields. Functioning of 19 wells was refined in 2004 alone, which provided 286 extra tons a day, and 184 tons more were added by hydraulic fracturing of formation. On the whole, performed measures enabled to push up daily crude oil output by 975 tons.
