How to Realize One''s Potential
The newspaper reports on the visit of Mr. David Campbell, Head of Udmurtia business unit, to the Gremikhino field. The visit, the newspaper writes, was timed to the beginning of operations by a team of professionals in charge of drafting the production technical limitations review (the PTL team) in the oilfield. Speaking on the PTL team''s operations, Mr. Campbell noted that it was an opportunity to have outside persons cast an independent glance on what the company is doing and to leverage their competent advice in the future. The Gremikhino field has a high potential of scaling up crude oil output; however, there are also some specific limitations preventing such potential from being realized. This is the purpose of the review – to detect the bottlenecks of the company, whether in collectors or in wells or in surface structures, which hinder output increase, Mr. Campbell said. In addition, the newspaper cites Mr. E.P. Maslennikov, Head of Udmurtneft South NGDP, who emphasized that the Gremikhino field is among TNK-BP''s twenty most significant fields. No wonder that great hopes are pinned on the PTL team''s visit: entangled problems may be thoroughly reviewed during a joint discussion, and the assessment can be made whether assumptions, conclusions, and calculations of the oilfield''s professionals were correct in order to address these problems as soon as possible.
