An extended workshop/meeting on industrial and environmental safety was held in the conference hall of Varieganneftegaz. Heads and managers of TNK-BP''s business units, such as Samotlor, vostork, and Exploration and Extraction business unit, as well as professionals from contracting companies participated in the forum, a television company of Raduzhny reports. Mr. Toor Helmaas, General Manager of Varieganneftegaz, emphasized in his welcome message that the Company''s industrial safety requirements have already become an integral part of production units'' operations, which focus not only on accident reduction at production facilities but also on their total elimination. Workshop participants provided detailed presentations on the state of things in TNK-BP''s business units on these problems. In addition, new corporate industrial and environmental safety standards were unveiled to those present.
