Violent Team of Petroleum Eagles
Varieganneftegaz OJSC put forward a proposal to the municipal administration and the Committee for Education and Youth Policy as to establish a student construction team on the basis of its fields. The initiative was supported, and it is for more than a month that members of the construction team, mostly students of high schools and secondary special educational institutions, work in the Company. The construction team is divided into several brigades performing work in the North Variegan and Bakhilov fields. Headed by specialists, they perform minor routine work and clear the territory. Last week, Mr. Thor Kelmaas, General Manager of VNG OJSC, met with one of the construction-team brigades in the North Variegan field. He noted how useful this work is – it will help the young people to make up their minds as to their future professions, to understand what they really what to do in life. "If, upon completion of this work, you will think in earnest about training and will become professionals in the petroleum industry, I will think I made my contribution to that."
