Mr. Vitaly Goncharenko, Deputy General Manager of Varieganneftegaz, Economics and Finance, told about the enterprise''s performance in the first half of the year. He noted that, since the start of the year, VNG experienced a series of positive changes, both in terms of production and in terms of economics and finance. During the entire half-year, the enterprise kept up with the business plan, though somewhat lagging behind in production. Nonetheless, daily production grew by almost 15%. This lets suggest that the plans will have been implemented by the end of the year. Positive changes are also visible in economics. At present, expenses are by 5%-6% lower than planned. Besides the fundamental production programs, the enterprise implements a series of social programs, Mr. Goncharenko cites Variegansky Vestnik. At present, as part of social projects, corporate housing is on the agenda. The enterprise''s objective is to address the problem of transferring residential space to municipal authorities and to Varieganneftegaz employees in ownership by the end of the year. The plan is to transfer the total of approx. 60 apartments, including 35 to municipal authorities, under gratuitous transfer contracts.
