Victor Chernomyrdin: Bitumen Plant Timely Launched at LINOS LLC
H.E. Victor Chernomyrdin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation states that the bitumen plant was timely launched at LINOS LLC (Lisichansk, Lugansk Region), during a news conference at the enterprise. In the opinion of Mr. Chernomyrdin, bitumen production at LINOS will enable to upgrade roads in the Lugansk Region. To confirm his words, Mr. Alexander Gorodetsky, President of TNK-BP Ukraine LLC, informed that bitumen produced at the Lisichansk enterprise will be sold to local construction entities at minimal prices. Bitumen production operation will enable to improve oil-refining depth by 2.3% (to 69%-70%), to additionally manufacture up to 170,000 tons of diesel fuel annually and to expand the product range. Use of road bitumen manufactured by LINOS LLC will make it possible to build almost 300 km of new roads monthly, and the use of construction bitumen will give an opportunity of producing up to 1.5 million sq. m of quality roof materials monthly. This year, the plan is to produce up to 90,000 tons of road bitumen. The launch of the new production facilities created 82 new jobs. Bitumen production facilities has been designed and equipped in accordance with the cutting-edge technologies, and the equipment is unprecedented in Ukraine and CIS nations. The expected bitumen quality will enable the enterprise to enter the global market for these products in the near future.
