Task Group in Charge of TNK-BP''s Joining the Consortium for Development of East Siberia''s and Yakutia''s Fields Being Established

The task group in charge of TNK-BP''s joining the Consortium for Development of Hydrocarbon Fields in East Siberia and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is being established, informed Mr. Alistair Fergusson, Vice President, New Gas Extraction and Sales Project Development, of TNK-BP Management OJSC. In his words, the issue of who will participate in the task group is under consideration. "Joint efforts should be applied to develop East Siberian and Yakutian fields to cut down costs of establishing the infrastructure for field development," Mr. Fergusson pointed out. In particular, in his words, comprehensive development of the Verkhechonsk field (Irkutsk Region) and the Talakan field (Yakutia) is appropriate.
