A meeting in Khanty Mansiisk
A meeting of Mr. Alexander Filipenko, Governor and Chairman of the Government of the Khanty Mansiisk Autonomous Area, and Mr. German Khan, Executive Director of TNK-BP Petroleum Company, took place in Khanty Mansiisk. The meeting discussed TNK-BP’s relations with federal and municipal authorities of the autonomous region in taxation. On behalf of TNK-BP, Mr. German Khan confirmed all obligations of the petroleum company, which were undertaken in the agreement for collaboration with the Government of the autonomous area. The text of a new agreement for 2005 will have been drafted by the end of this year. According to the News Service of the area’s governor, TNK-BP supports social orientation of policy pursued by the Government of Yugra and is willing to provide financial support to implementation of social programs in the territories of TNK-BP’s presence in the future.
