TNK-BP Invited Children to the Circus for the Seventh Time Now

The Russian oil company TNK-BP carried out a traditional charitable act for orphan children from orphan asylums of Moscow and the Moscow Region and children from low-income families. For the seventh time now, the Company invited six thousand children to the New Year celebrations. This time, festivities were held at the Bolshoi Moscow State Circus on the Vernadsky Avenue.

There were two performances at the circus, at 1 PM and 6 PM, January 13, 2006. Before the performances, employees of the Company held contests with toys and prizes for the children. The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) of Moscow and the Moscow Region organized exciting games for children in which the children showed their knowledge of the rules of the road. In the intermissions of the circus performances, little guests of the circus were served with delicious food and drinks. The Company prepared New Year presents for all the children.

TNK-BP organized this New Year celebration for children in cooperation with the following partner companies: Nestle Foods, Coca-Cola HBC Eurasia, Press Distribution Center, Express Media, Danone Industry, Wrigley, Dirol Cadbury, RostAgroExport, ECOEN Trading House, Volshebnoe Ozero (Magic Lake), Avilider, Lorintz, AVALE, and others.

The Company plans to continue its charitable activities. The Company management views these charitable activities as its moral obligation and an integral part of the Company activities. During many years now, TNK-BP makes its valuable contribution in the implementation programs of social and economic development and improvement of public services and amenities in Moscow and the Moscow Region. The Company finances construction of children’s playgrounds and mini-stadiums at schools, restoration and rehabilitation of historical buildings, and reconstruction of hospitals and donates state-of-the-art medical equipment to healthcare organizations. The Company sponsors programs of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) for teaching children the rules of the road.
